Dr. Dinita S. is a Senior Electricity Policy Analyst for Southeast Asia at Ember, a position held since September 2023. Dr. Dinita founded the Just Transition Network, focusing on research related to the energy transition in developing countries, and led a project on energy survival for marginalized communities in Jakarta and Bogor during a tenure with the Toyota Foundation research grant program. A former doctoral student at Kyoto University under Professor Makoto Usami, Dr. Dinita also worked as a Lead Project Specialist at Communicate and conducted research at the International Environmental and Disaster Management Laboratory. Previous experiences include serving as a Government Liaison for the World Food Programme and a Political Analyst for the UK in Indonesia at the British Embassy in Jakarta. Dr. Dinita holds a Master of Arts degree from SOAS University of London and has additional educational credentials from Kyoto University and the University of Indonesia.
