John D. Feerick

John D. Feerick, Esq. has served as a director of EmblemHealth since 2006 and was a director of GHI from 1998 to 2008. He has served as a law professor at Fordham University Law School since 1982, and was Dean of the school from 1982 to 2002. Mr. Feerick has served as a director of the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University from 2002 to 2018. He was a trustee of New York Medical College from 2000 to 2007. Mr. Feerick served as a director of Wyeth, Inc. from 1987 to 2008, which included 12 years as Chairman of its Audit Committee. Mr. Feerick was a director of Sentinel Group Funds, a diversified family of open-end mutual funds from 1984 to 2009, and was a trustee of the Sentinel Pennsylvania Tax Free Trust from 1993 to 2006. Mr. Feerick served on the audit and pricing committee of the Sentinel Group Funds from 1994 to 2006 and from 2007 to 2009, and on the audit committee of Sentinel Pennsylvania Tax Free Trust from 1994 to 2006. Mr. Feerick served as a board member of GTJ REIT, Inc., a real estate investment trust, from 2006 to 2007. Mr. Feerick served as Chairman of the New York State Ethics Commission from April 2007 to September 2007, and served as Chairman of the New York State Commission on Public Integrity from September 2007 to February 2009. Mr. Feerick chaired the New York State Government Integrity Commission from 1987 to 1990 and also the New York State Commission to Promote Public Confidence in Judicial Elections from 2002 to 2005 and the Judiciary's Cameras in the Court Committee. Mr. Feerick served as President of the Citizens Union Foundation for a period of years and served as a lawyer at the firm of Skadden, Arps Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP from 1961 to 1982. Also, past service includes serving as a representative of New York City to the Office of Collective Bargaining and serving as a member of the New York State Law Revision Commission as well as a member of the Special Panel on Family Homelessness in New York City and as a Judicial Referee of Public Funding for the New York City public schools. Past private service includes serving as president of the New York City Bar Association and chairing the Board of Directors of the American Arbitration Association and the Fund for Modern Courts. Mr. Feerick currently serves as Co-Chair of the New York Chief Judge's Attorney Emeritus Council.
