Dietmar Rempfer

Dietmar Rempfer is an accomplished academic leader currently serving as Dean at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University since July 2023. Prior to this role, Dietmar held various positions at Purdue University Northwest, including Interim Dean of the College of Engineering and Sciences, Director of the School of Engineering, and Professor of Mechanical Engineering from July 2017 to September 2023. Dietmar's earlier tenure at the Illinois Institute of Technology spanned from June 2001 to June 2017, where notable roles included Professor of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Professor of Applied Mathematics, and Associate Dean of Armour College of Engineering. Dietmar began a distinguished academic career at Cornell University as a Visiting Associate Professor from January 1996 to May 2001. Education achievements include a Habilitation in Fluid Mechanics and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, along with a Dipl.-Ing. in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering.
