Peter Hoffmann

Peter Hoffmann serves as the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, since August 2022, overseeing a college comprising 150 faculty across 5 departments with various undergraduate and graduate programs. From 2001 to 2022, Peter held multiple positions at Wayne State University, including Chair of the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Senior Associate Dean of Research, and Director of the Biomedical Physics Program. Peter's research focuses on instrument development in nanomechanics and atomic force microscopy, with funding from organizations such as NSF and GM.
