Justin Hoover

Justin Hoover has over 20 years of work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Justin is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at eMed Digital Healthcare, where they joined in 2022.

Before that, Justin worked at AllianceBernstein as a VP, Developer from December 2018 to March 2022. Prior to that, they were a Principal Engineer at Built Technologies, Inc. from May 2017 to November 2018. In this role, they focused on growing the engineering practice of the organization and mentoring other team members.

From March 2016 to May 2017, Justin worked as a Senior Software Engineer II at Eventbrite, where they developed new services and improved existing ones to support business growth. Before that, they held the position of VP of Architecture at NC2 Media from August 2014 to November 2015. In this role, Justin researched and set the technical direction for the team while fostering a strong, open culture.

Justin's experience also includes working as the VP of Platform Engineering at Mercury Intermedia from November 2006 to August 2014. Here, they led a small team of engineers and contributed to business decisions related to platform engineering using Microsoft technologies.

In addition to their technology roles, Justin has also served as a Secretary for the Ministry Empowerment Team at Craft Memorial United Methodist Church from November 2013 to February 2014, where they focused on revitalizing the church and supporting existing ministries.

Early in their career, Justin was the Director of Software Development at Area-Wide Technologies from December 2000 to October 2006. Here, they designed and developed custom applications and managed a small team of software developers.

Overall, Justin Hoover has a diverse background in software engineering, leadership, and technical direction. Justin has contributed to the growth and success of multiple organizations throughout their career.

Justin Hoover attended Parkland College from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science. In terms of additional certifications, Justin obtained the ICAgile APO certification in December 2020. Justin also obtained the Scrum Developer (CSD) certification from Agile Alliance in May 2015, as well as the ScrumMaster (CSM) certification, also from Agile Alliance, in the same month and year.
