Victoria Makovski

Victoria Makovski has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of biotechnology and research. Victoria is currently employed at Emendo Biotherapeutics, where they hold the position of Senior Scientist and Team Leader since April 2020. Before that, they worked at TransAlgae from 2015 to 2020. During their tenure at TransAlgae, they served as a Technology Platform Manager from March 2018 to March 2020 and as a Researcher from September 2015 to March 2018. Prior to their role at TransAlgae, Victoria worked at Tel Aviv University. Victoria held the position of Postdoctoral Research Fellow from October 2014 to August 2015. Additionally, they were a Head Instructor from October 2009 to September 2014, where they assisted and instructed the "Molecular biology – Lab" course for B. Sc. students. Victoria also worked as a Teaching Assistant from October 2008 to September 2009, assisting in the same course. In their initial years of employment, they worked as a Research Assistant at Prof. Yoel Kloog's laboratory at Tel Aviv University from October 2005 to September 2008.

Victoria Makovski completed their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Biotechnology from Tel Aviv University from 2005 to 2008. Victoria then pursued a Master's degree in Oncology and Cancer Biology at the same institution from 2008 to 2009. Following this, they furthered their education at Tel Aviv University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Oncology and Cancer Biology, completing it from 2009 to 2014.
