Weiran Wang

Scientific Developer at Emerald Cloud Lab

Weiran Wang has a wide range of work experience. Weiran began their career in 2012 as a Research Assistant at The University of Akron. From 2014 to 2020, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, where they designed and electro-polymerized monomers as a new kind of architecture of metallopolymer thin films with different NHC-metal complexes. In 2019, they served as a Graduate Intern at Aramco Services Company, where they formulated new cheaper emulsion-based flowback enhancers for fracturing fluid as new intellectual properties of the company. Currently, they are a Scientific Developer at Emerald Cloud Lab.

Weiran Wang completed their Bachelor of Science in Polymer Science and Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology from 2009 to 2012. Weiran then obtained their Master's degree in Polymer Science from The University of Akron from 2012 to 2014. Weiran furthered their education by obtaining their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin from 2014 to 2019. Weiran also obtained additional certifications in Python from Coursera between May and October 2019.
