Sports Ministry Operations Coordinator at Emerald Youth Foundation

Makaley Black currently serves as the Sports Ministry Operations Coordinator and previously held the position of Sports Ministry Intern at the Emerald Youth Foundation since August 2020. Additionally, Makaley has been the Athletic Director and Sports Coordinator, as well as the Cheerleading Coach at Emerald Academy since September 2020. Makaley's experience includes serving as an Administrator for the Tennessee High School Football App and as an Assistant at 5Star Preps since July 2018. Prior roles include Operations and Aquatics Graduate Assistant at East Tennessee State University's Wayne G. Basler Center for Physical Activity, Certified Nursing Assistant at East Tennessee Children's Hospital, and Swim Instructor at various aquatic facilities. Makaley holds a Master of Science in Sport Management and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from East Tennessee State University, along with an Associate of Science from Pellissippi State Community College and a High School Diploma in Health Sciences from Fulton High School.

Emerald Youth Foundation is a Christian, urban youth ministry that serves more than 1,400 urban children, teens and young adults each year. Our ministry is implemented through a network of more than 15 churches and faith-based organizations in five youth and community zones. We desire to raise up a large number of urban youth to love Jesus Christ and become effective leaders who help renew their communities.
