Jasmin Malone

Senior Director, Marketing at Emerson Collective

Jasmin Malone is the current Senior Director of Marketing at Emerson Collective. Jasmin has extensive experience in marketing, most notably in the area of public education campaigns focused on preventing and reducing misuse of opioids among youth and young adults.

Malone began their career at Truth Initiative in December 2014, where they served as the Managing Director of Marketing. In this role, they were responsible for driving brand positioning and identifying and leveraging emerging media platforms to educate about the risk associated with misuse of opioids. During their time at Truth Initiative, Malone led the expansion of the company's mission with an opioid education and prevention campaign partnering with the Ad Council and ONDCP to produce a comprehensive public education campaign.

In addition to their work in the area of opioids, Malone also oversaw breakthrough, socially engaging creative across paid, owned, social, and digital media for environment focused animated campaigns addressing the impact of cigarettes on the environment. These campaigns won the Environment & Sustainability category for the 2017 Shorty Social Good Awards.

Prior to their current role, Malone also worked closely with qualitative and quantitative research teams to plan, execute, analyze and interpret research including in-home ethnographies, segmentation studies, and longitudinal research panels focused on youth audiences to determine the feasibility of new strategic initiatives. Jasmin also worked with evaluation research teams to ensure campaign messaging was disseminated to targeted audiences.

Malone has been credited with saving hundreds of thousands of young people from becoming addicted to cigarettes and reducing the teen smoking rate to less than 6%.

Jasmin Malone has a B.B.A from Howard University in Marketing. Jasmin also has an Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of the District of Columbia in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. Lastly, they have a Certificate in Digital Marketing from General Assembly.

They work with Maria Barr - Program Director, Climate, Emily Bronkesh-Buchbinder - Director, Marketing Strategy & Insights, and Jesse Gazzuolo - Senior Creative Director, Brand Creative Studio. Their manager is Elena Hale, Managing Director, Chief Marketing Officer.
