Catherine Barry Rd

Catherine Barry RD, IBCLC is an experienced International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, currently providing in-home and virtual lactation and pediatric nutrition counseling at Emerson Health and Rooted Lactation LLC since August and July 2023, respectively. Previously, Catherine served at UMass Memorial Medical Center as both an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and a Certified Lactation Counselor from January 2022 to September 2023. At Boston Medical Center, from January 2016 to June 2023, Catherine worked as a Pediatric Dietitian in The Grow Clinic, assisting children with Failure To Thrive, and at The Baby Steps NICU Follow-up Clinic, offering nutrition and lactation support for families with at-risk infants. Additional roles include providing nutrition services for pediatric epilepsy patients and working as a Clinical Dietitian at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Public Health Nutrition and a Master of Science in Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition Services from Boston University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature from Colby College.
