Bryn Newell

Bryn Newell has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In their most recent position as Chief Technology Officer at Eightcap, an Australian online financial trading company, they were responsible for leading strategic initiatives to enhance business, product, and customer growth. This included implementing a MACH architecture ecosystem, building a cloud-native data lake solution, and executing a global security uplift. Bryn also served as a Strategic Advisor at Emissary.io, an Advisory Board Member at Opportunities Australia, and a Vice-Chancellor and President Alumni Advisory Group Member at the Australian Catholic University. Prior to these roles, they held several positions at National Australia Bank, including Head of Technology for ServiceNow, Head of Technology for IT Service Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and IT Service Transition & Planning, IT Senior Service Delivery Manager for Digital Technology, and IT Service Delivery Manager for Payments, Core Banking & NAB Asia.

Bryn Newell holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, which was obtained from the Australian Catholic University between 2003 and 2006. In addition, Bryn has obtained several certifications throughout their education and career. These certifications include Advisory Board Technical Foundations from the Advisory Board Centre, Business Transformation with Google Cloud, Digital Transformation Using AI/ML with Google Cloud Specialization, Managing Machine Learning Projects with Google Cloud, and Google Cloud Product Fundamentals from Coursera. They also hold certifications in Grant Writing from the University of Sydney, as well as various data science courses from HarvardX - An Online Learning Initiative by Harvard University through edX. Furthermore, Bryn has completed certifications in ITIL Foundation Level from APM Group and Java Programming 1 from Box Hill Institute.
