Joan Testin has extensive experience in church leadership and music education. Currently serving as the Rector of Emmanuel Episcopal Church since March 2013, Joan previously held the position of Associate Rector at Emmanuel Church, Chester Parish from September 2010 to March 2013, focusing on Christian Formation and Evangelization. Prior to that, Joan worked as Music Director at Waldron Mercy Academy from August 1988 to June 2006, overseeing a department of private-lesson teachers and directing multiple choirs and a school musical. Joan began the career in music and education as a Music Teacher at Walsingham Academy from August 1983 to June 1988, where responsibilities included teaching music, drama, religion, and social studies. Educational achievements include an M.Div. in Theological Studies from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, Anglican Studies from Virginia Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Music and Education from William & Mary.
