Melanie H. Green has extensive experience in academic administration in the field of nursing. Melanie H. currently serves as the Vice President of Richmond Higher Education Institutions at Bon Secours Health System, where they provide strategic vision and operational leadership to multiple academic and scholarly programs. Prior to this role, they were the Vice President and Provost of Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing, where they oversaw all academic affairs and administration. Before joining Bon Secours, Melanie held the position of Dean of the School of Nursing at Our Lady of the Lake College, where they managed a large budget and a variety of nursing programs at different levels.

Melanie H. Green has a diverse education history. Melanie H. obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Southeastern Louisiana University from 1985 to 1988. Melanie H. furthered their education and obtained a Master of Nursing degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, where they studied from 1990 to 1992. Melanie pursued their passion in academia and completed their PhD in Higher Education Administration from Louisiana State University, which they attended from 2003 to 2008. In 2017, they also received a Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University's Institute of Transformational Leadership.
