Randy Burks

Randy Burks, MBA, has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and clinical research industry. Randy is currently the Director of Clinical Trial Management & Monitoring and the Director of Monitoring Services (North America) at Emmes. Prior to that, they worked at IQVIA as an Associate Director of Clinical Monitoring and as a Senior Manager of Clinical Operations. Randy also gained experience at Novella Clinical as a Manager of Clinical Operations, at GlaxoSmithKline Pharma GmbH as a US Local Study Manager, at ICON plc as a Regional CRA Manager, at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals as a Lead Regional Sr. CRA, at eReady Monitors as a Contract CRA for GlaxoSmithKline, at Purdue Pharma as a Sr. Lead CRA/Interim Study Manager, and at RPS as a Regional Senior CRA. Randy has demonstrated expertise in managing teams, ensuring compliance with protocols and guidelines, and providing training and consultation to staff members.

Randy Burks, MBA, holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Arizona State University, which was completed from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying from 1997 to 1999. Randy also attended Campbell University from 1995 to 1997, specializing in Biology before transferring. In addition to their formal education, they have recently obtained a certification in "Bill George on Self-Awareness, Authenticity, and Leadership" from LinkedIn in 2021.
