Ashley Medina

Ashley Medina serves as the Department Chair for Science and Social Studies at Empowerment Academy Charter School in Jersey City, NJ, where responsibilities include organizing educational materials and designing innovative projects for student understanding. Previous roles at Tulsa Honor Academy included Grade Level Chair and 5th Grade ELA Teacher, leading to significant student achievement improvements. Ashley's experience also encompasses policy research as a Policy Fellow for Oklahoma State Representative Monroe Nichols, community engagement at the YWCA Tulsa, and legislative internships with the Office of Governor Phil Murphy and Assemblywoman Pinkin. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Public Administration at Rutgers University, Ashley holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government, International Studies, and History from The College of New Jersey.
