VP, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Empath Health

Karen Davis-Pritchett, MeD, is the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Empath Health. She is responsible for creating and implementing strategic plans for Empath Health to be a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and socially responsible organization. Additionally, she provides leadership for culturally-responsive outreach to diverse communities, while creating viable community partnerships. Davis-Pritchett began her career with Empath Health in 2017 as a Community Partnership Specialist; then she was promoted to Director of Provider and Community Relations. In 2019 she was promoted to Vice President of Access and Inclusion. She earned a Master of Education in Community Counseling from Howard University and a Bachelor of Science in English Education from Florida State University. Davis-Pritchett has been certified as a Diversity Professional by the National Diversity Council. Also, she earned the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certification from the University of South Florida. David-Pritchett is a member of The Florida Council of The National Diversity Council, a past board member of the Florida Diversity Council, a board member of Achieving Equity Together, and a member of the NAHC Diversity Taskforce.

Since 1977 Suncoast Hospice has provided help and hopes to seriously ill patients and their families in Pinellas County, Florida. In 2014 Suncoast Hospice and its family of programs created Empath Health to better address the needs of those living with advanced and/or chronic illnesses.
