Jay Richardson

Jay Richardson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jay is currently working as the Director of Business Development at Empower Energies since March 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Commercial Solar Specialist at Southern Energy Management from March 2018 to March 2022. From January 2012 to December 2017, Jay served as the President of Sol Power Energy Inc. Jay also worked as a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network from August 2002 to November 2007. Jay's earlier experiences include roles such as Vice President of Development at Hannah Solar from September 2008 to December 2011, and Account Manager at ABB (Skyva International Division) from 2000 to 2002. Jay also served on the Board of Advisors at Hannah Solar Government Services LLC from August 2009 to December 2011. Jay's extensive international experience includes positions such as General Management/Marketing Manager at MeadWestvaco (MWV) from July 1992 to December 1999, with roles in Europe, Middle East, New Zealand, and Australia.

Jay Richardson obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Marketing & Japanese from North Carolina State University, where they studied from 1985 to 1991. Jay also participated in an exchange program at Hiroshima Shudo University in 1989, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Japanese Language Studies. In 1991, Jay studied Japanese Language Studies at Stanford University. Additionally, they briefly attended Harvard University in 1989 for further studies in Japanese Language Studies.
