Valerie Capers Workman

Valerie Capers Workman is a seasoned human resources and legal professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Empower Pharmacy since June 2025, Valerie previously held the titles of Chief Talent Engagement Officer and Chief Legal Officer at Handshake from February 2022 to February 2024. Prior experience includes a tenure at Tesla from February 2018 to January 2022, where responsibilities included VP of People and Associate General Counsel, overseeing global compliance. Valerie also served as Vice President, Legal at FOCUS Brands from August 2015 to February 2018, and as Vice President Franchise Compliance at Realogy Holdings Corp. from January 2013 to August 2015. Valerie holds a J.D. from St. John's University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Syracuse University.
