Solar Engineer at EmPower Solar

Garrison Carafa is a Solar Engineer at EmPower Solar. Prior to this, they were an Environmental Health and Safety Intern at COVANTA ENERGY from July 2010 to September 2010 where they assisted in Environmental and Safety Audits/Inspections and created a log of blueprints and CAD drawings of the facility. Garrison also logged Safety Near Miss Reports and Confined Space Permits using Excel. From March 2009 to September 2009, Garrison was a Water Quality Engineer Intern at Philadelphia Water Department where they provided daily water quality reports of drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities, took water samples at sites of interest to be analyzed in the laboratory, performed a chlorine decay experiment of residual chlorine in the drinking water supply, and researched the effects of de-icing materials on water quality.

Garrison Carafa has a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering from Drexel University as well as a certification from ClickSafety in OSHA 10-Hour Construction.
