Simon MacKenzie is the current COO at Empresas Taylor. Simon has previously worked as the Managing Director at Ian Taylor & Company from February 1988 to October 2012. During their time there, they created a new organization structure and incorporated additional skills and technology into the company to allow for fulfillment of its growth potential. Simon also regularly liaised with customers to ensure service quality and requirements were in accordance with expectations. In addition, they provided guidance and assistance to shareholders in top-level changes to the corporate structure.
Before that, Simon worked as Marketing at ASMAR Shipyards from May 1980 to January 1988. There, they developed marketing strategies to insert and keep the shipyard's repair services in the planning of potential customers' maintenance programs.
Prior to that, Simon was Sales at CCNI from January 1975 to December 1980. In that role, they were responsible for sales and maintaining an extense customer base, ensuring cargo flows for the company's routes to Brazil and the Far East.
Simon MacKenzie has a degree in management from the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and is a certified public accountant and auditor with a degree in business administration from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Simon also attended Grange School.
