Eric Fleckten

COO at Emrgy

Eric Fleckten is currently the COO at Emrgy. Prior to this, they were with Spike Ventures as an investment committee member from December 2019 to May 2021. Before that, they took a sabbatical from August 2019 to April 2020 where they explored their interests and enjoyed time with family and friends.

From January 2015 to December 2015, Eric Fleckten was the director of business development for emerging markets at SunEdison. In this role, they were responsible for origination, business development and deal structuring of utility scale renewable energy projects throughout the emerging markets of Asia.

Prior to that, Fleckten spent six years with United Conveyor Corporation as joint venture manager and Asia product manager. In these roles, they led the operations of the Dry Sorbent Injection (UCC DSI) Joint Venture and grew it into a market leader for air pollution control in the U.S. Eric also co-wrote and implemented the business plan for UCC DSI. Additionally, Fleckten developed country-specific strategies, product offerings and corporate partnerships to meet unique requirements in the Asian emerging markets while serving as product manager.

Eric Fleckten's educational career consists of a BS in Civil Engineering from Stanford University, an MBA from the National University of Singapore, an MA in Public Administration from Syracuse University - Maxwell School, and a Certificate in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Eric also has certification from the Federal Aviation Administration as a Commerical Pilot and from the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists as a Professional Engineer.

A direct report to Eric Fleckten is and Georgia McGhee - Operations Manager. Their manager is Emily Morris, CEO. Eric Fleckten works with John R. Tuttle - Chief Strategy Officer, Tom Cuthbert - CTO, and Thorsten Stoesser - Director, Innovation.
