Jennifer Mester, CHMM

Jennifer Mester, CHMM, has over 16 years of professional experience in the environmental health and safety field. Jennifer began their career in 2004 as a Storm Water Technician with the Lake County General Health District. In 2005, they served as a Water Quality Intern with the Ohio EPA's Division of Surface Water, Northeast District Office. From 2006 to 2012, they worked as an Environmental Consultant with Bureau Veritas, completing environmental site assessments and compliance audits, finalizing historical research, and authoring technical reports. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as an EH&S Specialist with Affymetrix, managing all aspects of health and safety for a biochemical manufacturing facility, including regulatory permitting and agency correspondence. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as an EHS&S Manager with Valtris Specialty Chemicals, managing all aspects of environmental health and safety for a large manufacturing facility. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as an Environmental Regulatory Compliance Manager with the City of Cleveland, Department of Public Utilities, managing the City of Cleveland's only dedicated chemical HazMat Team and providing oversight for all units to ensure seamless implementation of policy and procedures. Currently, they are working as a Compliance Program Manager with Encamp.

Jennifer Mester, CHMM, obtained their Honors Diploma from Mentor High School in 2002. Jennifer then went on to earn their Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Lake Erie College in 2006. In 2013, they received their Certified Hazardous Materials Manager certification from the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management.
