Having commenced working as an apprentice in a large tunnelling project, Jose continued gaining extensive knowledge and experience in the construction industry spanning many aspects of civil engineering projects, including high-speed railways, tunnelling, highways and dams. He has more than 20 years of experience in the geotechnical engineering field.
As a geological engineer and tunnelling specialist, he has been implicated in several extensive and challenging instrumentation & monitoring projects during his career to date, working in design, installation, and management. Additionally, he has been actively implicated in technical and economic studies, bid supervising, technical proposals and reports for various geotechnical monitoring and consulting. Jose has also spent more than four years working in geotechnical design and tunnelling construction.
Since 2011, he has been working in the United Kingdom as part of various teams, being involved in the Crossrail Project and Bank Station Capacity Upgrade as the main ones.
Jose is a Chartered Geologist specialist in geological engineering; he is a member of the European Federation of Geologists (EFG), the Spanish Association Tunnelling & Underground works, and the PMI Project Management Institute. Nowadays, he is studying a Master of Project Management organized by the Catholic University of Murcia.
Jose resumes his professional career joining Encardio’s team, to which he is expanding his knowledge and contributing with his experience and passion for civil engineering and geotechnical monitoring.
