Kris Antonsen

Vice President, Process Development And Protein Analytics at Encoded Therapeutics

Kris Antonsen has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. From 1992 to 2002, Kris worked as a Sr. Staff Scientist at Bayer HealthCare. Following that, Kris joined Chiron Corporation in 2002 as a Sr. Process Scientist, where they managed a biopharmaceutical manufacturing support group and implemented process improvements. In 2006, Kris joined BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. as a Director and later became the Sr. Director of Purification Process Development. They then served as the Executive Director of Regulatory Strategy Implementation and the Executive Director of Purification Process Development. Most recently, in 2021, Kris joined Encoded Therapeutics Inc. as the Vice President of Process Development and Protein Analytics.

Kris Antonsen has a strong education background in the field of Chemical Engineering. They started their academic journey at UC Santa Barbara, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from 1975 to 1979. Subsequently, Kris pursued further studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from 1981 to 1982. Kris then went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they studied from 1982 to 1989.
