Simon Jesse Lopez

Simon Jesse Lopez is an accomplished professional in scientific operations and epigenetics, currently serving as the Manager of Scientific Operations at Encodia since July 2022. In this role, Simon leads optimizations and improvements in next-generation sequencing (NGS) pipelines, manages the NGS core facility, and oversees inventory and standard operating procedures. Prior experience includes working as a Services Research Scientist at Active Motif from March 2019 to July 2022, where Simon managed various epigenetic assay pipelines and collaborated with cross-functional teams. Simon also completed a Ph.D. in Integrative Genetics and Genomics at the University of California, Davis, focusing on the epigenomic dysregulation of human neurodevelopmental disorders.
