Bruno Okamoto

Bruno Okamoto's work experience begins with their role as a Buyer & Alliance Sales executive at Renault from March 2011 to December 2012. Bruno then co-founded Sorte Do Mês, a marketplace startup, and served as the COO from July 2013 to August 2014.

In 2014, Bruno joined EBANX Global as a Business Development Executive, where they were one of the early hires in this role. Bruno played a crucial part in securing major B2B sales, including the notable sale of Wish. After leaving EBANX Global in September 2014, Bruno co-founded Encontre um Nerd, a Managed Marketplace offering on-demand IT services. Bruno held various leadership positions at Encontre um Nerd, including Co-Founder & CEO from September 2014 to March 2021 and Co-Founder & Chairman from March 2021 onwards.

Throughout their career, Bruno has also been involved in board roles. Bruno served as a Board Advisor at Round Pegs from January 2022 to March 2023 and as a Board Member at Eva Onboarding from February 2022 to June 2023.

In September 2020, Bruno started hosting the B2BCast, a podcast focused on business, startups, and innovation. The podcast showcases practical cases and learnings related to innovation.

Their most recent work experience includes being the Coordinator of the Startups Commission at IBGC (Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa) since January 2023. In this role, Bruno aims to enhance the governance maturity in the startup ecosystem by emphasizing the importance of strong corporate governance structures for startup success.

Bruno Okamoto has a Superior degree in International Relations and Affairs from UNICURITIBA. Bruno also attended North Hills Bilingual International School, where they obtained a High School degree in Business Administration and Management, General. In addition to their formal education, Bruno has obtained several certifications, including 500 Entrepreneur - Miami International Growth Program from 500 Startups Latin America in September 2020, Google for Startups from Google Launchpad in August 2020, IBGC for Startups from IBGC - Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa in July 2020, 500 Entrepreneur - Miami International Bootstrapping Bootcamp from 500 Startups Latin America in May 2020, Endeavor Entrepreneur - Scale up Program from Endeavor Brasil in January 2017, and ACE Entrepreneur from ACE Aceleratech in April 2015.
