Phillip Foy has held various positions throughout their career. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as a Legal Intern at the North Carolina Department of Justice, where they assisted in providing representation and counsel to Boards and Commissions. In 2012, they also served as a Law Clerk at both North South Environmental Law and the Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development. The following year, they worked as a Legal Intern at the Conservation Law Foundation, focusing on environmental issues. In 2013, they joined the White House Council on Environmental Quality as a Law Clerk, providing research and writing assistance. Phillip Foy then moved to Encore Renewable Energy, where they held two roles. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Project Manager, responsible for various tasks such as project management, contract development and negotiation, and research on renewable energy trends. Since 2016, they have been serving as General Counsel at Encore Renewable Energy.
Phillip Foy (he/him) attended North Carolina State University from 2005 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology, General. Phillip then enrolled in Vermont Law and Graduate School in 2009 and completed their Master of Environmental Law and Policy degree in 2013, focusing on Environmental Studies. Additionally, they pursued a Juris Doctorate degree from the same institution, starting in 2010 and finishing in 2012, with a specialization in Law.
