Perry Genova has extensive work experience in the medical device industry, specifically in the field of robotic surgical technologies. Perry is currently the Senior Vice President of Research and Development at EndoQuest Robotics™ since August 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Vice President of Research and Development at Titan Medical Inc from February 2017 to June 2022, where they focused on the design, development, and commercialization of new robotic surgical technologies. From April 2015 to February 2017, they held the position of President, CEO, and Founder at Centauri Robotic Surgical Systems, Inc., where they secured seed financing and formulated business and financing plans. Perry Genova also has experience as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Oncoscope, Inc. from September 2009 to March 2015, where they led the complete restart of the company and was responsible for strategic planning, fundraising, product development, and recruiting medical advisory boards. Prior to Oncoscope, they served as a VP, MDI Dose Form Leader at GSK from September 2006 to August 2008, providing strategic direction for MDI development and manufacture. Perry Genova's earlier roles include Vice President, Inhaled Product Development & Biomedical Engineering at Kos Pharmaceuticals from 1999 to 2006, where they led the development of systemically active inhaled drug products, and Medical Device Technology and Commercialization at Quill Medical Corporation from 1999 to 2004, where they developed innovative suture products and provided guidance during a significant acquisition. In addition, they founded IEP in April 1996 and served as the Founder & Director of Biomedical Engineering, overseeing research and development programs for contract medical devices and consumer products. Perry Genova has an extensive education history in the field of engineering and biomedical engineering. Perry started their educational journey in 1980 by enrolling at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies in 1984, Perry continued their education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, where they obtained a Medical Doctor (MD) degree in Biomedical Engineering from 1984 to 1986. Showing their commitment to furthering their knowledge, Perry then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biomedical Engineering at the same institution from 1991 to 1994. Perry Genova's educational background demonstrates a strong dedication to the fields of electrical engineering and biomedical engineering.
