Georgios Gousios

Chief Researcher at Endor Labs

Georgios Gousios has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Georgios is currently serving as the Chief Researcher at Endor Labs, where they apply static analysis at scale to enhance developers' productivity and assist organizations in safe Open Source Software (OSS) adoption. Previously, they held the position of Associate Professor at Technische Universiteit Delft since March 2022. Before that, they worked as a Research Engineer at Facebook from November 2020 to February 2022. Georgios has also served as an Assistant and Associate Professor at Technische Universiteit Delft and Radboud University, respectively. Georgios has additionally worked as a Software Engineer at Facebook and a Postdoctoral Researcher at TU Delft and Athens University of Economics and Business. In 2011, they held the role of Senior Software Engineer at GRNET, where they led the design and development of the Aquarium OSS cloud resource charging software. Georgios was also a member of the Scientific Committee at a Free/Libre/Open Source non-profit organization.

Georgios Gousios has an extensive education history in the field of software engineering. Georgios started their academic journey at the University of the Aegean, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Communication Systems Engineering from 1998 to 2003. After completing their undergraduate studies, they joined The University of Manchester in 2003 to further enhance their knowledge in the field. Georgios pursued a Master of Science degree in Advanced Software Engineering, completing their studies in 2004.

Continuing their pursuit of higher education, Georgios then enrolled at Athens University of Economics and Business in 2004 to pursue a PhD in Software Engineering. Georgios dedicated himself to this research-intensive program for five years, successfully completing their doctoral studies in 2009.

Throughout their education, Georgios Gousios focused on the domain of software engineering, continuously expanding their expertise and knowledge in this field.
