Leandro Aolita

Leandro Aolita is an accomplished theoretical physicist with extensive experience in quantum information and computation science, having worked in this domain since 2003. Currently serving as Acting Chief Researcher at the Quantum Research Centre and Executive Director of Quantum Algorithms at the Technology Innovation Institute, Leandro has previously held the position of Associate Professor of Physics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro from February 2015 to March 2025. Prior to these roles, Leandro completed postdoctoral research at Freie Universität Berlin and ICFO, where involvement in quantum many-body theory and quantum information theory was prominent. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Physics from the University of Buenos Aires, followed by a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
