Andrew Nichols, PhD, PE, currently serves as a Signal & Freeway Operations Engineer at the Virginia Department of Transportation since September 2023. Andrew has an extensive background in academia and engineering, having held various positions at Marshall University from 2007 to 2023, including Professor of Engineering and Adjunct Professor. Additionally, Andrew Nichols has experience in independent sales through ENECON Corporation, functioning as both an Independent Sales Agent and District Sales Manager since April 2018. Prior to this, Andrew worked as a Traffic Engineer and Data Analyst as an independent contractor and served as a Consulting Traffic Engineer at Dennis Corporation. Andrew Nichols earned a PhD in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and a BSCE from West Virginia University.
