Femi Coker

Femi Coker is an experienced professional with a diverse work history. Femi began their career in 2002 at KPMG Sierra Leone, where they served as a Graduate Associate and was seconded as an Assistant Personnel Officer to Pacific Architects & Engineers (SL) Ltd. In 2003, they joined the University of London's Institute of Cancer Research as a Data Administrator. Femi then worked at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust as a Data Management Coordinator from 2004 to 2006. From 2006 to 2010, Femi served as a Research Data Manager at University College London. In 2010, they joined Petroleum Directorate Sierra Leone as an Economist and later as a Senior Petroleum Economist from 2014 to 2018. In 2019, Femi took on two roles, firstly as a Director/Consultant at A.F. Consultancy (SL) Ltd, and secondly as the Country Manager at PowerGen Renewable Energy until January 2022. Femi then served as a Board Director at the Renewable Energy Association of Sierra Leone, a trade association focused on developing the renewable energy market in the country. Femi's most recent position, starting in February 2022, is the Regional Director for Market Development at Energicity. Overall, Femi has gained extensive experience in various industries, including the renewable energy sector and petroleum economics.

Femi Coker's education history begins with a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Economics from the University of Sierra Leone, Fourah Bay College, which they completed from 1997 to 2001. Femi then pursued a Master of Science degree in International Business Economics from the University of Westminster between 2002 and 2003. Femi continued their education by obtaining a Master of Science degree with Merit in Energy Studies with Specialisation in Oil and Gas Economics from the University of Dundee from 2011 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Femi Coker has also obtained several certifications. Femi earned the MCMI designation from the Chartered Management Institute in March 2017. Prior to that, in November 2013, they completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Petroleum Development & Operations from PETRAD Norway. Femi also holds the AMEI certification from the Energy Institute, which they obtained in March 2011.
