Karen Benson

Karen Benson currently serves as Senior Counsel for Global Compliance Risk Management at Energizer Holdings since March 2022. Prior roles include Associate Vice President and Assistant Chief Compliance Officer at Royal Caribbean Group from February 2019 to March 2022, and Director of Global Compliance, Ethics & Data Privacy at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. from October 2011 to February 2019, where responsibilities involved leading the design and implementation of the company's Global Compliance and Ethics Program. Prior to this, Karen was a Senior Associate at Jorden Burt LLP from September 2002 to October 2011, specializing in regulatory matters for financial services organizations. Academic achievements include a JD from The George Washington University Law School, earned magna cum laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif, along with a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Syracuse University, awarded summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Additionally, Karen is currently enrolled in the Building on Talent Program at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
