Darshan Schmitz

Director Of Product Management at Energy Materials Corporation

Darshan Schmitz has extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry. They currently hold the position of Director of Product Management at Energy Materials Corporation since February 2022. Prior to this, Darshan worked at Solar Frontier K.K. from December 2013 to December 2021, where they served as a Product Manager responsible for product certification and monitoring industry standards related to PV modules. They were also actively involved in various project teams and committees.

Before Solar Frontier K.K., Darshan worked at XSOL as the Product Development Division Manager from December 2011 to December 2013. In this role, they managed new product development, quality control processes, and production control processes. They also provided technical training and support to the sales team and managed customer service-related issues.

From July 2011 to October 2011, Darshan worked at Suntech as a Senior Product Manager, focusing on product management for applied PV products and OEM accounts. They were responsible for qualification of new products, cost reduction strategies, product certification, and marketing collateral. Prior to this, at Suntech, Darshan held the position of Business Development Manager from September 2007 to July 2011, where they focused on product development, channel development, and technical sales of BIPV products.

Earlier in their career, Darshan worked as a Marketing and Sales Manager at Suntech from July 2004 to September 2007. In this role, they were responsible for market research, product certification, and overseas sales channel development for BIPV products.

Darshan's work experience also includes a position as a Researcher and Instructor at Gunma Prefectural Women's University Foreign Language Research Institute from July 2001 to March 2004, where they were involved in promoting the reform of English language education.

Lastly, Darshan started their career as an Assistant Language Teacher through the Jet Programme from June 1998 to March 2001. The programme aimed to promote grassroots internationalization and involved foreign language education in various educational institutions in Japan.
