Eric Nussbaumer has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position being as the VP Data Operations at Energy Outreach Colorado. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Director of Data Science at VAS and as a Data Scientist at The AES Corporation. Eric also held roles as a Customer Facing Data Scientist at DataRobot and as a Co-Founder at Visual Perspective. Eric has a strong background in technical development, having served as the Co-Founder/CTO at Population Explorer, Inc., and as the Director of Data Lab at Kimetrica International Limited. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Visiting Scientist and Associate Scientist at NCAR - The National Center for Atmospheric Research, and as a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University. Eric started their career as an Engineer II at Ball Aerospace.
Eric Nussbaumer has a strong educational background in the fields of atmospheric and oceanic science, earth and planetary science, and aerospace engineering. Eric obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in 1999. Eric further pursued their studies at the same institution and earned a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2000. Eric then enrolled at The Johns Hopkins University and completed a Master of Science degree in Earth and Planetary Science from 2006 to 2007. Finally, they attended the University of Maryland from 2008 to 2012, where they acquired their highest level of education, a Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science.
