Nicholas Kolesar started their work experience in 2006 as a Shift Manager at South Side Subs & Groceries, where they worked until 2013. From 2011 to 2015, they held multiple roles at Penn State West Food District, including Student Manager and Eco-Rep Team Leader. In 2014, Nicholas worked as an Energy Auditor Intern at the National Energy Leadership Corps, where they conducted audits, analyzed customer data, and contributed to a Ph.D. candidate's thesis. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Technical Specialist/Energy Auditor at Sustainable Energy Fund, and since 2018, they have been a Software Implementation Project Manager at EnergyCAP, Inc.
Nicholas Kolesar completed their high school education at Curwensville Area High School from 2007 to 2011. Nicholas then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Energy Engineering and Energy Business and Finance: Energy Systems Option at Penn State University from 2011 to 2016.
In terms of additional certifications, Nicholas obtained the following: Mastery of EnergyCAP from EnergyCAP, Inc. in September 2020, OSHA 10-Hour General Industry from CareerSafe, LLC in January 2017, LEED Green Associate from the U.S. Green Building Council in July 2015, Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) from the Association of Energy Engineers in May 2021, Certified Energy Auditor in Training (CEAIT) from the Association of Energy Engineers in March 2017, Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) from the Project Management Institute in May 2018, and Building Analyst Professional from the Building Performance Institute, Inc. in January 2017.
