Paula Alves

Paula Alves is a seasoned professional in tax and accounting management, currently serving as the Accounting and Tax Controller at Eneva since December 2016. In this role, Paula oversees the Tax, Accounting, and Billing departments for the Eneva Group, managing a team of 60 individuals, including four managers and seven coordinators. Previously, Paula was the General Tax Manager in the Global Tax Department at Vale from December 2013 to December 2016, where responsibilities included global tax planning and intra-group pricing strategies. Paula also held the position of Tax Director at KPMG Assessores Tributários from September 1997 to December 2013, focusing on tax compliance and consulting for diverse industries. Earlier experience includes a tax consultant role at Xerox from 1994 to 1996. Paula Alves holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from Columbia University and has additional education from Fundação Dom Cabral and IBMEC.
