Volker Kautz

Volker Kautz has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1991 as a Lecturer for the Gesellschaft für Weiterbildung und Kommunikation mbH. Volker then moved on to become an Educational Manager for OBZ – Bildungsgesellschaft für Norddeutschland mbH in 1992. In 1997, they were appointed Manager User Education for StarDivision/StarOffice, where they managed the Product Documentation and setup and managed a Software-Localization/Internationalization team. In 1999, they moved on to Sun Microsystems as Manager User Education for StarOffice, where they managed the Product Documentation and Software-Localization/Internationalization for StarOffice and OpenOffice. In 2002, they became Senior Project Manager for VerdiSoft Corp. and in 2005 they were appointed Director QA for Yahoo! Inc., where they were responsible for managing the Quality Assurance for all Yahoo! Mobile Products worldwide. In 2010, they started their own company, Volker Kautz Consulting, as a Management Consultant. Since 2011, they have been working as Senior Director User Education & User Advocacy for NumberFour AG.

Volker Kautz completed a Master degree in Teacher for Technics and Computer Science from Brandenburgische Landeshochschule Potsdam.
