Before that, Som worked at Control Microsystems from November 2010 to August 2018 as a SCADA Product Support Specialist, providing technical support for SCADA products.

Som also has experience running their own business, Sommos Machine Vision Specialist and Software Consultant, in November 2010. As the owner, they focused on machine vision integration and support, custom software development, and consulting for digital camera imaging systems.

Earlier in their career, Som held the role of Software Programmer at Rising Edge from June 2004 to April 2005. They developed machine vision systems for quality assurance inspections, synchronized CCD cameras and PLC automations, and managed database support.
