Jean Golay is a Geospatial Data Scientist at Engelhart since November 2018 and previously served as a Research Scientist and Teaching Assistant at the University of Lausanne - UNIL from November 2013 to October 2018. During the tenure at UNIL, Jean Golay developed new techniques for feature selection and intrinsic dimension estimation, along with creating the R package IDmining for analyzing large and high-dimensional data sets. Jean Golay earned a Doctor of Science degree in Environmental Geosciences and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Geosciences from the University of Lausanne - UNIL, completing the doctoral studies in 2018 and the master's studies in 2013. Additionally, Jean Golay completed the first year cycle in microengineering at EPFL in 2008 and has been affiliated with Simon Fraser University since 2006.
