About the role

MoneyLion is seeking a visionary VP of Marketing, focused on Lifecycle Communication to spearhead the evolution and growth of our Lifecycle engine. In this critical role, you will have the unique opportunity to refine and enhance our firmwide lifecycle marketing strategies from the ground up, driving strategy, innovation, and execution. As VP of Lifecycle Communication, you will lead the next stage of growth and optimization of our lifecycle engine, setting a new industry standard for customer engagement. By leveraging deep customer insights and employing omnichannel communication strategies, you will drive product adoption, deepen engagement, and enhance utilization of our products and features.

Your role will be pivotal in achieving measurable outcomes: enhancing engagement rates with our communication touchpoints, boosting customer retention, increasing revenue, and maximizing the overall efficiency of our communication efforts through automation.

This role is located on-site 4 days a week at our headquarters in Chelsea, NYC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a Comprehensive Lifecycle Strategy: Craft an innovative lifecycle marketing strategy that aligns with MoneyLion’s objectives, focusing on enhancing customer engagement, driving product adoption, and increasing retention. Utilize market analysis, understand competitive positioning, and deeply grasp the needs of both channel partners and consumers.
  • Spearhead Strategy Implementation: Lead the charge in executing the lifecycle strategy, ensuring it not only meets but sets new standards in the financial services industry. Provide differentiated solutions that precisely match consumer expectations and needs.
  • Leverage Cutting-edge Technology: Identify and integrate leading-edge technologies and methodologies to revolutionize customer acquisition, retention, and engagement processes within the lifecycle framework.
  • Translate Objectives into Actionable Initiatives: Convert strategic goals into specific projects and tasks, managing the entire product development lifecycle from concept through launch. Ensure the Lifecycle team is delivering on the business outcomes needed
  • Collaborate Cross-functionally: Work closely with stakeholders across product, design, sales, engineering, marketing, finance, and analytics teams to craft compelling user experiences that drive engagement and satisfaction.
  • Implement and Refine UX Strategies: Deploy user experience testing strategies to measure impact and ensure continuous improvement, aligning product development with user expectations and business goals.
  • Drive Organizational Alignment: Create clear and detailed requirements documents, functional specifications, and prototypes to illustrate product initiatives and concepts, ensuring organizational coherence and synchronization in feature rollout.
  • Report on Performance and continuously optimize: Regularly analyze the effectiveness of lifecycle initiatives and report back on key metrics and outcomes to stakeholders from senior executives to team members.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our global team: Engage with our top-tier analysts, marketers, product managers, and engineers to drive collective success.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance teams: Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all lifecycle marketing efforts adhere to regulatory standards and industry best practices, while also partnering effectively to enhance business performance.

About You

  • Minimum of 10+ years in lifecycle marketing, with a proven track record of developing, launching, and scaling lifecycle engines specifically in the financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, seamlessly transitioning from high-level strategic planning to hands-on execution.
  • Proven track record of delivering business outcomes in a multi-product environment, while meeting customer expectations
  • Innovative thinker with a strong passion for financial inclusion and empowering customers through enhanced engagement and personalized experiences.
  • Experience in financial marketplaces is highly desirable, showcasing an ability to understand and innovate within this specific sector.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to leverage data to enhance customer experiences, personalize interactions, and drive business decisions.
  • Knowledge of modern design principles, user experience testing, and analytics, with experience in managing multiple stakeholder products in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership qualities, skilled in storytelling and effective communication, capable of influencing across functions and driving conversations with senior leaders.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, and a results-oriented mentality, equipped with a test-and-learn approach to continuously optimize and refine marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across various departments, influencing and integrating feedback from diverse teams to drive cohesive and aligned marketing initiatives.
  • A strong leader, skilled at storytelling and communication, with proven ability to credibly drive conversations with senior leaders.

The annual base salary for this position is between $200,000 to $240,000. This role is also eligible for an equity award and annual bonus. Base salary is one component of MoneyLion's total compensation package, which includes, 401(k) match, multiple health insurance options, disability coverage, life insurance, and unlimited paid time off for salaried positions. Actual salaries will vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies related to the role.
