Mitch Zahler has extensive experience in the field of information security and has held various leadership roles throughout their career. Mitch currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Engine by MoneyLion, where they focus on securing sensitive information and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Prior to this, they worked as a CISO at Even Financial, where they developed and implemented cybersecurity strategies. Mitch also has experience in academia, serving as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University, where they taught courses on information security and risk. Mitch has also been involved in various professional communities and organizations, including serving as an Executive Member of the CyberEdBoard Community. Before their current roles, Mitch held positions such as Managing Director at Proactive Cyber Security, LLC and held leadership roles at HSBC Global Banking and Republic National Bank. Mitch'sexpertise includes risk management, incident response, and cyber threat intelligence. Mitch holds a strong passion for building trust and security awareness among stakeholders and team members.

Mitch Zahler holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Major Economic with a minor in Management Information Systems from Brooklyn College. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications. These certifications include Certified Governance of Enterprise IT from ISACA in April 2009, Certified Risk and Information Systems from ISACA in June 2010, Certified Information Security Manager from ISACA in September 2003, Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer™ (CDPSE™) from ISACA in January 2021, and Certified BlackLight Examiner from BlackBag Technologies in November 2018.
