Lia Portillo

Lia Portillo is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Tufts University, with an expected graduation in 2025. Lia holds the position of Vice President in the ASCE Tufts Student Chapter and serves as the Secretary for the Society of Latinx Engineers and Scientists - Tufts Chapter. In academia, Lia contributes as a Grader for Chemistry 1/11 and as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant for Physics 1/11 at Tufts University. Additionally, Lia leads projects for Engineers Without Borders USA, Tufts Chapter, and previously worked as a Chemistry Laboratory Assistant. Lia completed a high school degree in Civil Constructions at Colegio Tecnico Nacional de Asuncion from February 2018 to November 2020.
