Jordi L.

Jordi L. began their career in 2004 as an Environmental Engineer for the Generalitat de Catalunya. In 2005, they transitioned to Saint-Gobain Glass as a Development Engineer, where they were responsible for industrial launch and improvement of coated glass for building glass and automotive, as well as plant production tests and technical support to European plants. In 2007, they joined Solvay as a Strategic Marketing & Business Development, where they were responsible for business roadmap and strategic projects with the Sodium bicarbonate and Derivatives Business in North America. Jordi also conducted business and competition intelligence, value chain and market analysis for sodium bicarbonate-based products. In 2011, they became an Advisor for the Cleantech Investment Practice at Capricorn Venture Partners, where they provided advice and support on due diligence on potential investee companies. In 2012, they joined ASTER CAPITAL as an Investment Manager and Venture Capital. In 2020, they joined EnginZyme as a Senior Director of Business Development and as the Director of Business Development, where they are responsible for developing enzymatic catalysts and processes that enable more sustainable and cost efficient biomanufacturing across industries.

Jordi L. began their education in 1986 at La salle Tarragona. In 1998, they obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universitat Rovira i Virgili. In 2008, they earned a Master of Business Administration - MBA from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in Business Administration and Management, General. In 2022, they will obtain a B2B Management from Esade in Business Administration and Management, General. In addition, Jordi L. has obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, IMD Business School, and KARRASS Effective Negotiating, including Financial Modeling Foundations, Strategic Planning Foundations, Leadership, Karrass Effective Negotiating, and Solving Business Problems.
