Andrew Kennedy has a diverse work experience spanning over several organizations. Andrew most recently served as the Head of Human Resources and Volunteering at English Heritage since 2016. Previously, they held the position of Head of Human Resources at Asthma UK from 2014 to 2016, where they managed all HR, OD health, and safety services for the national charity. Andrew also worked as an HR Consultant on a freelance/interim basis from 2013 to 2014.

Before that, they served as the Head of HR Shared Services at Metropolitan Thames Valley from 2004 to 2013. In this role, they were the HR business partner to the operational Directors Group and oversaw various HR functions, including HR advice, recruitment, payroll, and handling sensitive grievance and discipline matters. Andrew began their career as a Bank Officer at Clydesdale Bank from 1989 to 1994.

Additionally, Andrew has experience in recruitment and divisional management, having worked at Search Consultancy Ltd., Austin Knight UK Ltd., and Melville Craig Group Ltd. as a Recruiter and Divisional Manager from 1994 to 2003.

Andrew Kennedy received their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Strathclyde from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Stonelaw High School in Glasgow from 1986 to 1989. Before high school, they attended Chipping Campden School in Gloucestershire from 1984 to 1986, and Kelvindale Primary School in Glasgow from 1977 to 1984.
