Andrew Luke

Andrew Luke serves as the Head Gardener at English Heritage since May 2017, responsible for managing a 95-acre 18th-century landscape garden and overseeing a dedicated gardens team in restoration and maintenance projects. Prior experience includes a 14-year tenure at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where Andrew held various supervisory roles, including Supervisor for Woodland and Grass Garden operations, Weekend Duty Manager, and Arboretum Nursery Manager, focusing on staff training, pest management, and horticultural standards. Earlier experience at Dunsborough Park involved general garden maintenance and site supervision. Andrew holds a Kew Diploma in Horticulture from the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, obtained between 2000 and 2003.
