Ismail Mahmud

Mr. Ismail Mahmud has been with Vopak for 18 years. Since 2011, he has been working as Director for Vopak chemicals business at its headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and is currently responsible for sales, marketing and commercial activities for all chemical-related storage activities at Vopak. His experience in logistics and tank storage services spans over multiple regions with specific focus on Industrial Terminaling, and he leads one of Vopak’s core strategies in this service market segment. He also serves as a Board Member of Chemtank - Jubail Chemicals Storage & Services Co Ltd. and Sabtank Terminal Services Company and is a member of the Advisory Board Supply Chain Program Committee of the European Petrochemical Association.

Prior to this role, Mr. Mahmud was located in Singapore for 10 years, where he held the positions of Commercial Director for Vopak Asia and Managing Director for Singapore. Prior to joining Vopak, he worked for 3 years as CFO and Commercial Manager of Engro Vopak Terminal Ltd. and for 8 years with Engro Corporation Ltd. (previously Engro Chemical Pakistan Ltd.).

Mr. Mahmud holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University, USA and also an MBA in Finance from St Josephs University, USA.
