Najum Tariq

Najum Tariq has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Currently, they are the Head of Procurement at Engro Corp, where they oversee the procurement and material warehouse team and ensures the efficient acquisition of products and services while adhering to supply chain management policies.

Prior to that, Najum worked in the Pakistan Army from 2018 to 2022, where they held multiple positions including Officer In-Charge, Technical & Procurement Manager, and Project Engineer. In this role, they revamped classified equipment, managed workforce allocation, and streamlined procurement protocols.

Najum also has experience as a Blogger at Darkgrapes from 2014 to 2020, where they cultivated a platform for writers and artists to exchange ideas and narratives. Additionally, they worked as an Engineer Intern at GEPCO in 2017, gaining expertise in testing and maintenance of relays. Najum also worked as an Engineer Intern at Service Industries Limited in 2016, focusing on polyurethane sole production and PLC evaluation.

Finally, Najum worked as an Engineer Intern at PTCL in 2015, where they gained a deep understanding of customer satisfaction and the principles of transmission and switching.

Najum Tariq completed their Master's in Electrical Engineering (MS) with a specialization in Control Systems from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) between 2020 and 2023. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NUST. In 2012 to 2014, they attended Garrison Academy Kharian Cantt and completed Fsc in Pre-Engineering. Additionally, they obtained Matriculation in Science from Garrison Academy Kharian Cantt. Najum Tariq has also obtained various certifications, including Six Sigma Foundations, Supply Chain and Operations Management Tips, Artificial Intelligence Foundations: Machine Learning, Business Development: Strategic Planning, Programming Foundations: Software Testing/QA, Quality Management Foundations, SAP ERP Essential Training, Certified Engineer from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Alcotan User and Maintenance Course - Spain, Pilot 4D M4 Advance Training on System - Italy, and Microsoft Office Specialist Word 2013 from Microsoft.
