Shiho Iwanaga has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and research. Shiho is currently employed as a Senior Principal Development Engineer at ENOVIX Corporation since June 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Battery Engineer at Natron Energy from May 2019 to April 2020. From 2013 to 2019, Shiho worked at Seeo Inc. as a Product Engineer, where they were involved in designing high-energy density cells, developing high energy cathodes, and improving cathode slurry processing. Before that, they worked at Connexx Systems LLC as a Senior Research Engineer, where they designed equipment for manufacturing battery anode material and developed a prototype metal-air battery utilizing solid oxide fuel cell technology. Shiho also has experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the California Institute of Technology, where they conducted research on thermoelectric properties measurement and characterization. Shiho also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at NASA Langley Research Center, where they focused on semiconductor characterization and device efficiency enhancement. Additionally, Shiho worked briefly as an Applications Engineer at National Instruments and as an Engineering Intern at Motorola Semiconductor, where they conducted research on electrical characterizations of thin films and memory applications.
Shiho Iwanaga has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, which they obtained in 2008. Prior to that, they completed their M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at the same university in 2003. Shiho Iwanaga also holds a B.A. in Physics from Smith College.
