Michael Carmel is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in embedded systems and firmware development, currently serving as the Director of Embedded Systems at Enphase Energy since February 2019. Previously, Michael held the position of CTO and Co-Founder at Sibros Technologies Inc., where significant contributions were made to secure connectivity solutions for the automotive sector. As the Firmware Engineering Manager at Tesla, Michael led the firmware engineering team for the Powerwall and Powerpack product lines during their initial design phase. Michael's earlier roles include Director of Engineering at Canara Inc., Principal Design Engineer at Art Robbins Instruments, Owner of Applied Fluidics LLC, Hardware Design Engineer at Teradyne, Avionic System Engineering Intern at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Student Network Engineer at Cal Poly State University. Michael holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University.
